KORONI
The city is located in a bay on the east coast of the Messinian Peninsula about 50 kilometers south of Kalamata and 30 kilometers east of Methoni. West of the city, the landscape is slightly hilly, the landscape is characterized by olive tree plantations.
The city is located on the back of a headland that juts out into the Messinian Gulf. On the plateau of the headland lies the fortress of Koroni, the town lies behind it inland, as well as with the center and harbor north of the fortress.
The old Koroni is best overlooked from the top of the old monastery. A short walk through the narrow alley past stone houses with lovingly landscaped gardens to the convent, with the Agia Sophia church and old basilica up. Down on the promenade we recommend the old corner kafeneion for a rest and small mezedes (small food).
From here you can enjoy the flair of harbour promenade life and the busy waiters at work.
FINNIKUNDA
The town of Finnikunda with its fine sandy beaches is lined with a wide range of taverns, bars and cafes and souvenir shops towards the centre. In the evening, they stroll along the beach promenade and start the evening with a glass of wine.

Transfer time from the airport to Petalidi, Finnikunda, Gialova, Koroni approx. 1 hour.
Below the castle are the old town and the nunnery of Kalogreon, where the famous silk fabrics are woven. Of the many churches in Kalamata, the Church of the Apostles from the 13th century is the oldest. On March 23, 1821, the beginning of the fight for freedom against the Turks was officially announced. The city also has an archaeological and a folklore museum
The city is also known for the export of olives. The variety "Kalamon" owes its name to the city and is a sought-after souvenir from your holiday.
