The small fishing village of Agios Nikolaos is located 4 km south of Stoupa on the Mani peninsula and about 50 kilometers south of the district capital Kalamata.
Especially charming is the cozy harbor, which is a meeting place for locals and guests. Here is almost daily a small fish market. Experience the leisurely hustle and bustle of the islanders in the cozy taverns.
Along the harbor promenade there is a wide selection of nice bars, taverns and cafes, as well as stores for daily needs. Mainly in the summer months versch. Events such as live music and performances take place.
The imposing mountain scenery of the Taygetos Mountains in the background, invites you to extended hikes.
Location:
The charming natural stone maisonettes (freshly renovated in 2020!) are centrally located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Numerous restaurants, bars and shopping facilities are in the immediate vicinity. To the two beautiful sand/pebble bays Pandazi and Kalliopi it is about 800 m, the center of Agios Nikolaos and the harbor can be reached after only 5 minutes walk. The airport of Kalamata is about 60 km away.
Facilities:
The attractive, stone-built resort consists of 2 villas with 2 maisonettes each. Outside, each maisonette has a covered, private terrace partly with Jacuzzi. Sun beds and umbrellas are included. The maisonettes have their own parking space.
Accommodation:
Maisonette B (approx. 70sqm) max. 3 persons.
The maisonettes with different design have a living/sleeping room with sofa bed, separate bedroom, sitting area with fully equipped kitchenette (toaster, coffee maker, kettle), air conditioning (included), open fireplace, flat bed SAT-TV, DVD, radio, WLAN (included), safe (included, washing machine, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, mosquito nets on windows and doors, 2 bathrooms (bath or shower/WC), veranda and balcony (side sea and mountain view). Cleaning and linen change are done 2 times a week.
Maisonette B can be booked with or without Jacuzzi.
Maisonettes A (approx. 85 sqm) max. 5 persons
same equipment with a second separate bedroom. (one maisonette has 2 single beds in one of the bedrooms).
All maisonettes A have an outdoor Jacuzzi.
Board:
Rich breakfast (selectable from the breakfast menu e.g.: freshly squeezed orange juice, omelet with cheese/tomatoes and goat cheese, yogurt with local honey, fruit salad with tropical fruits, filter coffee, espresso o. Greek coffee e.t.c.) at Panorama Café Lithos at the port of Ag. Nikolaos. No fixed breakfast times.
Sports/Entertainment:
Ag. Nikolaos and Stoupa offer many possibilities for going out and sports (water sports, fishing, bike rental etc.). The hiking and biking trail to Stoupa along the waterfront, is near the accommodation.

The natural stone houses, pensions and studios offered to guests are kept in the traditional Mani style from the rock of the gray Taygethos Mountains and lovingly furnished for its mostly individual guests whose focus is on relaxation, originality and tranquility.

The gently rolling hills are covered by the everlasting silvery-green of the olive groves. The traditional olive harvest begins in mid-October and continues well into January. A special time also especially to experience friends and family. Traditional dishes like lamb and goat are prepared and the fireplaces are lit. Around the harbor and on the promenade are small fish taverns and nice bars & cafes.
The fishing boats bring your nightly catch in the morning to offer it fresh at the harbor.
Many nature lovers deliberately prefer this time of conviviality after the summer months to experience hiking and exploring the surrounding area with all its Byzantine past, fortified towers and old mountain villages.
It is a cozy place. Visitors will find here a small, romantic fishing village. Funny on the water of the harbor pier rocking colorful kaiki boats and nets mending fishermen, convey the image of ancient Greece.
Nice and lovingly furnished taverns (for fish mezedes), a post office, bakery, several small mini markets, cafes & the dear sun... charming, manageable. Especially popular for its view, snacks and refreshments is the lovingly run Lithos Cafe`directly on the promenade. The Rafti tavern in a small side street is a meeting place for good, local cuisine with fish and lamb specialties - small money!
On the small harbor promenade, "big politics" are made and the weekly lottery ticket is quickly handed in, with the hope of the big jackpot.
But actually nobody wants anything to change...
And that is also good.
Simply a small fishing village, where in the evening couples in love sit on the quay wall at sunset, only a few meters away from the large Greek family, which just comes from nearby Pandazi or Kalliopi beach and stops by for a frappe` at Kostakis.
Simply beautiful to "escape" from the increasingly hectic everyday life at home and to really relax again ...
